An Act relative to promoting the beneficial use of dredged materials for coastal resilience, nourishment and restoration

This bill aims to encourage the use of dredged materials – materials removed from waterways – to improve coastal resilience, nourishment, and restoration projects throughout Massachusetts. It seeks to promote the beneficial reuse of these materials, which would otherwise often be disposed of, to protect and enhance coastal areas. An emergency clause was included to ensure prompt action on this important environmental initiative.
