This bill prohibits the sale and distribution of certain products containing intentionally added perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Specifically, it targets carpets, rugs, fabric treatments, food packaging, juvenile products, cosmetics, indoor textile furnishings, and indoor upholstered furniture. The bill also requires cookware manufacturers to disclose the presence of PFAS on product labels and online listings, and allows for the inclusion of ‘NO PFAS’ stickers to inform consumers. A misdemeanor penalty applies for violations.
