Bill overview
This bill amends West Virginia’s Real Estate License Act to create an exception for nonresident real estate brokers. Nonresident brokers who maintain a definite place of business in their primary state of residence are not required to maintain an office within West Virginia, provided that their original licensing state has a reciprocity agreement with West Virginia that doesn’t require West Virginia licensees to maintain an office there. The bill also clarifies requirements regarding displaying licenses, changing addresses, and maintaining affiliation with associate brokers and salespeople.
