Overview
This bill changes South Carolina law to allow motor vehicle dealers to sell vehicles through consignment. Currently, dealers can only sell new vehicles or mobile homes with a manufacturer’s certificate of origin. The bill removes this restriction, permitting dealers to sell vehicles on behalf of private owners. This would allow for a wider variety of vehicles to be sold through dealerships.
