Bill overview
This bill creates a state grant program to help New Jersey municipalities establish senior snow removal programs. The program will provide up to $100,000 in grants to cities and towns to clear snow and ice from the entrances and walkways of homes occupied by seniors aged 62 or older with incomes below 65% of the area median. The bill also appropriates $2 million to fund these grants and requires the Department of Community Affairs to create rules for the program’s operation.
