Overview
This bill requires retail food establishments in New Jersey to clearly display disclosures for caffeinated beverages containing at least 80 milligrams of caffeine per serving. These disclosures, such as ‘High caffeine,’ must be prominently placed next to the beverage’s name on menus and drive-through boards. The Department of Health can investigate complaints and impose penalties for non-compliance, with fines ranging from $200 to $1,000 for repeat offenses.
