Overview
This bill directs the New Jersey State Board of Dentistry to formally recognize orofacial pain as a specialized area of dentistry. Currently, the board designates specific dental specialties, and this legislation adds orofacial pain to that list. Licensed dentists who specialize in orofacial pain will be able to announce this specialization to the public, similar to other recognized dental specialties. The changes will be implemented through new rules and regulations adopted by the board.
