Bill overview
Senate Bill 420 proposes changes to how information is displayed on ballots for Oklahoma judicial elections. Specifically, the bill would remove party affiliations from ballots for Supreme Court Justices, Court of Criminal Appeals Judges, Court of Appeals Judges, district judges, and associate district judges. Instead, the ballot would include the name of the Governor who appointed the judge and the date of appointment. The bill also sets an effective date for November 1, 2025.
