Bill overview
This bill establishes an Office of Territorial Affairs within the Small Business Administration (SBA). The office will focus on supporting small businesses in the U.S. territories – Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands – by improving access to SBA programs and resources. The Assistant Administrator of this office will be responsible for fostering relationships between the SBA and territorial businesses, assessing program effectiveness, and recommending improvements.
