Bill overview
This bill, the Truth in National Parks Act, aims to ensure that exhibits and educational materials within National Park Service sites are historically accurate and culturally sensitive. It requires the Secretary of the Interior to evaluate and improve interpretive programs, and to consult with relevant communities, including Tribal nations, when updating or altering existing materials. The bill also mandates the replacement of any removed or altered materials within 180 days of enactment and directs the Comptroller General to report on co-stewardship agreements with Indigenous communities.
