Bill overview
This bill, the Build America, Buy America Compliance Act, requires federal agencies to report annually to Congress and the Made in America Office on how they’re implementing the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA Act). The reports will detail which infrastructure programs are fully complying with BABA’s requirements for using American-made materials and products, and which are not. The bill also aims to increase transparency by making all waivers to Buy America laws publicly available and encourages agencies to prioritize project-specific waivers over broad waivers to support domestic manufacturing.
