The Skill Savings Account Act of 2026 establishes a new type of savings account called a ‘skill savings account’ designed to encourage investment in education and training. This bill allows eligible employees and their employers to contribute to these accounts tax-free, up to certain limits, and provides for tax-free distributions used to pay qualified education expenses. Any unused contributions exceeding the limits will be subject to an additional tax.
