Bill overview
This bill prevents New Jersey state and local governments from creating new rules or changing existing ones that affect manufacturing facilities for the next 10 years. Manufacturing facilities can choose to opt out of this protection on a case-by-case basis. The Department of Labor and Workforce Development will create guidelines for which facilities qualify for an exemption and how to apply for it.
