Overview
This bill requires NJ Transit to regularly share performance data with the public. Specifically, NJ Transit must publish monthly reports detailing the number of train cancellations and their reasons, on-time performance of bus and train services, and any other relevant information as determined by the Commissioner of Transportation. The bill also mandates reporting on crew and engineer availability, rather than focusing on staffing shortages. Committee amendments were made to clarify reporting requirements and address technical issues.
