Overview
This bill allows individuals with hearing impairments who have a driver’s license with a specific numerical code to obtain a vehicle identification placard. The placard, which displays the international symbol of the deaf, will be issued free of charge by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. Importantly, this bill does not grant these individuals additional parking privileges unless they already qualify for them under existing regulations.
