Overview
The AI Image Disclosure Act requires certain companies, known as ‘covered providers,’ to clearly identify AI-generated images, videos, and audio content as such. This is achieved through both ‘manifest’ and ‘latent’ disclosures, with the latent disclosure being invisible but accessible via a link. The bill also addresses licensing agreements, requiring providers to ensure licensees include disclosures and prohibiting the removal of provenance data on social media platforms. Penalties are included for non-compliance.
