Overview
This bill prohibits the use of lead ammunition when hunting in New Jersey. It directs the Fish and Game Council to phase in restrictions that ultimately require the use of nonlead ammunition, defined as ammunition containing one percent or less lead, or approved by the federal government. The bill also mandates the council to create a list of certified nonlead ammunition and establishes penalties for violations.
