Overview
This bill changes how the state provides financial aid to school districts for preschool education programs. Specifically, it exempts districts that are newly receiving this aid in the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 school years from a previous cost-sharing requirement. Instead, these districts will receive increased aid based on their total preschool program costs and enrollment. The bill also maintains the existing aid calculation method for districts that already receive preschool education funding.
