Overview
This bill requires all hospitals in New Jersey that offer inpatient maternity services to earn and maintain both the Baby-Friendly and Mother-Friendly designations. These designations are awarded by specific organizations – Baby-Friendly USA and the Improving Birth Coalition – to hospitals that meet certain standards for infant care and support for mothers.
