Overview
This bill changes the requirements for becoming a licensed marriage and family therapist in New Jersey. It reduces the required supervised experience from three years to two years, and allows applicants with a master’s degree to count up to 300 hours of client contact towards that experience. It also simplifies the process for those seeking an associate license, removing the requirement for extensive experience. Finally, it adjusts the waiting period for re-taking an exam.
