Bill overview
This bill aims to adjust the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) by accounting for past exemptions granted to small refineries under the Clean Air Act. Specifically, it requires the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to calculate the total reduction in renewable fuel sales due to these exemptions from 2006 to 2018. The EPA will then increase the amount of renewable fuel required to be used in transportation fuel each year, starting in 2019, by incorporating these previously uncounted reductions.
