Bill overview
This bill directs the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to conduct a comprehensive study on the safety and effectiveness of both firearms and Tasers. The study will examine the number of successful self-defense uses, accidental discharges, types and severity of injuries, and potential long-term health effects associated with each weapon. The CPSC will then report its findings and recommendations to Congress within two years.
