Bill overview
The Personal Protective Equipment for Home Health Care Workers Act of 2020 requires home health agencies that receive Medicare or Medicaid funding to provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to their workers at no cost. The bill also mandates that these agencies report the number of worker deaths during the public health emergency to the Secretary of Health and Human Services on a regular schedule. Agencies found to be non-compliant may be withheld from receiving further emergency funding.
