Bill overview
This bill, titled the ‘Stop China’s Heinous Exploitation and Malicious Espionage Against Congressional Access Act,’ requires the Sergeants at Arms of the House and Senate to develop a plan to identify congressional employees who may have connections to, or intend to engage in activities benefiting, the Chinese Communist Party. If an employee is deemed to meet these criteria, their employment will be terminated, and they will be referred for investigation by the FBI. The bill also mandates regular reporting to the President and intelligence committees on the plan’s effectiveness.
