The ATVM Modernization Act expands the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing Incentive Program to include energy-efficient aircraft in addition to traditional vehicles. This bill updates the definition of an ‘advanced technology vehicle’ to encompass aircraft meeting specific emission and fuel economy standards. It also directs the Department of Energy to revise the program’s rules to reflect these changes. The goal is to encourage the development and manufacturing of more environmentally friendly transportation technologies.
