Bill overview
This bill, the CCP Visa Disclosure Act of 2020, requires individuals applying for certain student (F), exchange visitor (J), or vocational (M) visas to disclose any financial support they’ve received or plan to receive from the Chinese government, the Chinese Communist Party, or affiliated entities. If an applicant receives such funds after obtaining a visa, they must report it to the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of State. Failure to disclose these funds could result in visa revocation.
