Bill overview
This bill directs the Department of Health and Human Services to commission a comprehensive study by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine on the health impacts of using kinetic impact projectiles, such as rubber bullets and bean bag rounds, in the United States. The study will analyze injury frequency, demographics, treatment effectiveness, and usage patterns by law enforcement. Findings and recommendations will be reported to Congress and made publicly available.
