Bill overview
This bill requires the intelligence community to produce a National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) assessing Iran’s support for proxy forces, including Hizballah, in Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon. The NIE will examine the extent of Iran’s military and financial assistance to these groups, as well as the threats they pose to Israel and U.S. interests. Following the NIE, the President must report to Congress a strategy to counter Iran’s expansionist activities in these countries.
