Bill overview
This bill, the Banning Airport Redevelopment Act, directs the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to release the City of Banning, California, from restrictions on the Banning Municipal Airport. To do so, the city must transfer funds to the state for improvements at other airports and provide salvageable airport equipment to other airports. The amount of funds to be transferred will be determined by independent appraisers and includes unamortized grant funds and remaining airport revenues.
