Bill overview
The Coronavirus Containment Act of 2020 requires U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to test foreign nationals for COVID-19 before they are repatriated or removed from the United States. Individuals who test positive must wait 10 days without symptoms and pass two negative tests before being allowed to travel. The law also mandates that ICE work with the receiving country to ensure safe repatriation and requires ICE to publicly report data on testing and removals.
