Bill overview
This bill directs the Forest Service to transfer approximately 23.4 acres of National Forest System land, along with related infrastructure, to Skamania County, Washington, upon request. The transfer will be made through a quitclaim deed and includes a reservation for the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail. The Forest Service will disclose information about hazardous materials but is not required to clean them up, and the county will be responsible for all closing costs and ongoing maintenance of the property according to established standards.
