Bill overview
The Regional Clean Energy Innovation Act directs the Department of Energy to establish an Office of Advanced Clean Energy Technologies and a network of Regional Energy Innovation and Development Institutes (REIDIs). These REIDIs will support the development of clean energy technologies by connecting research with regional needs, fostering collaboration among various partners, and assisting states and regions in achieving decarbonization goals. The goal is to accelerate the transition to commercially viable clean energy solutions and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
