Bill overview
The Bring Jobs Home Act aims to encourage businesses to relocate operations to the United States by offering a tax credit for insourcing expenses – the costs associated with moving a business from overseas to the U.S. Simultaneously, it prohibits deductions for outsourcing expenses, which are costs incurred when a U.S. business moves overseas. The bill also requires companies to increase their domestic employment to qualify for the tax credit and reinstates a deduction for moving expenses that was previously suspended.
