Bill overview
This bill directs the Department of Health and Human Services to create a task force and conduct a comprehensive study on physician shortages in the United States. The study will examine the financial impact of these shortages, the number of foreign-trained physicians in the U.S. who aren’t practicing, and the obstacles preventing them from doing so. The task force is then required to submit a report to Congress with findings and recommendations to address these barriers.
