This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to offer Spanish language options and services on its main toll-free phone number, (800) 827-1000. Specifically, callers will be able to hear routing options in Spanish and speak with a Spanish-speaking employee or access a translation service. The VA must also create a protocol for using translation services and report back to Congress on the implementation process.
