The ARPA-H20 Act of 2020 establishes a new agency within the Environmental Protection Agency called Advanced Research Projects Agency–Water (ARPA–H20). This agency will fund research and development projects focused on improving drinking water, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and groundwater quality, particularly using advanced technologies. The goal is to enhance the safety, affordability, and reliability of water systems, especially large decentralized ones serving multiple households.
