Bill overview
The Affordable Insulin for All Act aims to lower the cost of insulin for people with diabetes. It requires the Department of Health and Human Services to negotiate lower prices with insulin manufacturers, capping cost-sharing at $10 per month for Medicare and private insurance plans. The bill also eliminates certain rebates and prohibits drug pricing practices like spread pricing in Medicaid, and directs the Government Accountability Office to assess the feasibility of the federal government manufacturing insulin.
