The Patient Fairness Act of 2020 aims to expand access to and benefits from health savings accounts (HSAs). It removes restrictions on who can contribute to an HSA, allows for the purchase of health insurance premiums with HSA funds, and increases contribution limits for individuals and families. The bill also makes it easier for relatives to receive funds from a deceased HSA beneficiary’s account.
