Bill overview
This bill, the Reproductive Health Information for Veterans Act, requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to offer abortion counseling to veterans who are unexpectedly pregnant. The counseling must include information about all available options, including termination, as well as accurate health information related to those options. It also mandates that the VA provide information on nearby locations where veterans can safely access medical or surgical abortion services.
