This bill creates a grant program to help owners of housing specifically designed for grandparents caring for grandchildren or older relatives caring for relatives. The grants will support services, equipment, and upkeep of this ‘grandfamily housing,’ as well as outreach and events to connect these caregivers with community resources. Recipients must also hire a ‘grandfamily resident service coordinator’ to assess needs and plan programming for residents.
