Bill overview
This bill directs the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) to investigate how individuals involved in domestic terrorism, often referred to as ‘lone wolves,’ acquire firearms and accessories. FinCEN will gather information from financial institutions about suspicious transactions related to this procurement and develop an advisory to help identify and report such activity. The goal is to understand how the U.S. firearms market may be exploited to facilitate gun violence and to combat homegrown violent extremism.
