Bill overview
The Health Savings for Families Act of 2019 aims to expand access to health savings accounts (HSAs). Specifically, it allows individuals whose spouses participate in health flexible spending accounts to also contribute to their own HSA. This would enable families to better manage and utilize healthcare expenses by combining funds from both accounts. The changes take effect beginning in 2020.
