Bill overview
This bill directs the Department of Veterans Affairs to create a task force focused on using public lands and outdoor spaces for veterans’ medical treatment and therapy. The Task Force, comprised of representatives from several federal agencies and other key organizations, will identify opportunities and barriers related to this approach. It will then develop recommendations for improving access to outdoor recreation programs for veterans seeking preventative care, treatment, and therapy.
