Bill overview
The Recycle Act aims to improve residential and community recycling programs across the United States. It establishes a grant program for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to fund public education and outreach initiatives, develop a model recycling program toolkit for states and local governments, and require the EPA to review its federal procurement guidelines for recycled materials every five years. The bill also encourages businesses to participate in recycling efforts and promotes the inclusion of recycling education in public school curricula.
