Bill overview
This bill aims to improve access to comprehensive care planning services for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias by requiring the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to educate healthcare providers about these services and track their utilization. The bill mandates CMS to conduct outreach to doctors and other healthcare professionals and then report back to Congress on the effectiveness of this outreach, as well as the number of Medicare beneficiaries receiving these services and any obstacles preventing access. Ultimately, the goal is to increase awareness and access to these crucial care services.
