Bill overview
The FASTER Act changes how money collected from passenger fees at airports is used. Currently, a portion of these fees is credited back to the Treasury. This bill eliminates that credit and directs all collected fees to be deposited into a separate Treasury account. These funds will then be used exclusively to cover the costs of aviation security screening activities.
