The Skills Investment Act of 2019 renames Coverdell savings accounts to ‘Coverdell lifelong learning accounts’ and expands their use to include a wider range of educational and skill development expenses, such as career training, technical education, and adult literacy. It increases contribution limits, allows for deductions of contributions made by beneficiaries, and introduces a tax credit for employer contributions to these accounts.
