Bill overview
This bill, the Responsible Additions and Increases to Sustain Employee Health Benefits Act of 2019, changes the rules for health flexible spending accounts (FSAs) offered by employers. It increases the maximum amount employees can contribute to these accounts to $5,000, with an additional $500 for each dependent beyond two. The bill also adjusts the inflation adjustment date and allows unused FSA funds to be carried over to the next year without being taxed.
