Bill overview
This bill creates a tax credit for investments in specific electric power transmission lines. The credit is available for overhead, submarine, or underground transmission facilities that transmit electricity at a voltage of 345 kilovolts or higher, have a capacity of 1,000 megawatts or more, and deliver power from rural or offshore sources. It also extends to related equipment like conductors and transformers. The tax credit is phased out after December 31, 2029.
