Bill overview
This bill aims to increase transparency and fairness in the Veterans Affairs disability benefits process. It requires the VA to publicly post all disability benefit questionnaire forms used by non-VA medical providers. If the VA updates a form, it must accept previous versions submitted by veterans for a year, provided they gave the provider the older form beforehand. The bill also allows the VA to waive certain approval processes related to publicly available forms and requires the VA Inspector General to report annually on their use.
